Those of us lucky enough to live in the Flathead Valley love our national parks and public lands. They are the places that tie our communities together, the landscapes where we make memories with friends and families, have adventures, see wildlife, learn lessons and recharge. Glacier National Park, the Bob Marshall Wilderness, the Swan Valley, Hungry Horse Reservoir, the Flathead River system; these are the iconic places that we get to call our backyard. These places are irreplaceable and vulnerable, and as an NPCA supporter, you use your voice to protect them.
I’d like to invite you to use your voice in a different way. NPCA and The Wild Idea podcast are hosting a storytelling evening, both to record for an episode of the podcast, which has a national audience, and to celebrate this special place we live in. Please join us for a night of sharing stories, creating connections and fun. Come and listen to your friends and neighbors tell their stories, including raft guides, retired park and forest staff, wildlife biologists, hunters and recreationists, and have a chance to share your own public lands story. As we sit at the cusp of dark winter nights and long summer days, take an evening for fun and adventure, recollection and dreaming.
